well she's not bleeding on the ballroom floor
The barren ground made the female immediatly become interested in it. She had tried her best to skip the unwanted lands like the Pride ones. The happyness and joy between everyone in that whole land was enough to make her skin crawl. It was bad enough this was the only dark land here. Plus it was half way surrounded by the light lands and the light people. She shivered out of oddness.
Her dark gold eyes reflecting the rejecting land and breathing it in with happyness. It was perfect.. Now to find the leader of this barren land. She new for sure she'd get in. If not after a few names being called. Like hers, Sunnix.. What a nice name. And for sure she wouldn't take Sunny as some kind of nickname jjoke. She remembered that when she was born, her mother said she'd bring sun to places without it... Sorry mom. It definatly didn't work..
The darkness she showed everyone else was the darkness that made her once bright red heart, turn black. The beautiful black color. It goes with anything. Even inside a mammal. Her whiskers twitched at the thought. She hoppe dup onto a large rock and let out a loud growl. The alpha would surly hear it. After all, she had been knwon for her growling.
After waiting a few minutes the female layed on the bright hot rock. She still had her guard up, but her distraction was being lost in thought. Just to be carful she cleared her thoughts and let out a small sigh. Her tail wagging back and forth out of boredom. Its not like she would be extroidinary happy like the lighs usually are.
just for the attention, cause that's just ridiculous

Lucifer heard another lion after he had spoken to the hyena in front of him. He had been waiting for another lion to respond to him, and it sounded like a lioness. Without a backwards glance Lucifer leaves the hyena. The lioness was not far away and he would reach her quickly. He ran past many skulls and smaller bones snapped beneath his great paws. No water was to be found in this wasteland; it was all dried up and replaced with bones. Still Lucifer leaped his steps in a fast pace, clearing a mile in a few moments. Soon he came to the lioness; she was facing the opposite direction with her back to him. He could feel a light breeze blow his scent right to her. So he sat on the top on a giant skull, most likely an elephant's.

The hyena female stared at the two lions. Now was her chance to take off. She knew that eventually the lions might understand that the hyenas were there. She missed her mate Bonsai, they were unsepartable and now she felt weak. She's had to lay low and not be so rude since if she were to die then she would kill the cubs inside of her as well... She gave one last look at them before taking off in a yelp. |

well she sure is gunna get it, here's the setting
Rather soon, the lioness began pondering once more. Getting lost in her thoughts, the lioness smelt the scent of a lion. The alpha of the land. She stood, her thoughts seperating, and faced the male. Her bright golden eyes shining with a hidden darkness behind them. There was a mere spot of silence between the two lions before the lioness spoke.
"I am cursed Sunnix, I came to join this land." Her vocals replied in a dark voice. The words being hinted with a hiss in them. The sound? A perfect dark. This beautiful vixen would be a perfect subject to anything close to being satan itself... Except... She had a small lighter side at birth than had disappeared. Thankfully, her mother and father were two darks trying to live in a light land. God only knows I suppose, but they tried the lighter way of living. It truly didn't work.
This femme now looked into the eyes of the male before her. Her eyes having the same shadowed appearance.

Lucifer growled, a lioness in his land. Normally he would see this intruder off quickly but he needed members in his pride, and unrelated lionesses could bare his cubs. He still would not let this lioness into his pride without know her reason for coming to this land, there ware much more rich land around. Was she a spy? Unlikely, she didn't smell like any Prideland lion he has ever killed. Yes, he has kill all Prideland lions he has met since he had become able to fight.
Lucifer jumped down from the elephant skull, crunching and snapping a few bones that seemed to be everywhere. He advanced and growled, "I am the King of this land, Lucifer. And if you are to live here you will address me as such!" Lucifer jumped up to the lionesses perch in one swift bound, landing gracefully before her. Lucifer stared into her eyes, as if trying to read her thought threw her expression.

She listened to male. My a dark he was indeed. She had nearly forgotten her darkened manners. She decided this was a great time considering the male had just hopped up infront of her, she looked into his eyes for a few seconds as he finished then dipped in her head in a respectful way. nothing like it was mocking, it was pure respect. She then lifted her head to look him in the eyes once more. Her shadowed gaze quickly turning into a hauntingly blue color.
"Of course I would my King. And to state why I've come, light lands are of no need to the world. They are nothing but a nuisance. I swear, they think their the best thing on this planet" Her cold voice still carrying the same emotion. She didn't quite have her head as high as his for a king should always have their head held higher than the other lions that were down from him.
Her eyes carrying the same odd color for a lioness' eyes. If that truly wasn't proof enough about what she said, then she could explain in further detail. Her paw pads were worn and stained with light blood. She had killed a light she had came across on the way. The only difference was that, the lion she had killed was from her cub pride. But did she honestly care about that pride? No of course not! That would be going against what she believed in, so she would do no such thing.

Lucifer could tell the lioness was telling the truth, for he had the same option. He sniffed her cheek then along her shoulders and back, she smelled like a Prideland lioness that had been smeared with blood, or the blood on another lioness. He couldn’t help but smile at how dark this lioness was. It seemed to fascinating to meet a girl who was as evil as him. He circled her a few times, imprinting her scent to memory so he could track her in the future without difficulty. Finally he grunted and said, “You are truly a wicked lioness. And being such you are welcome to stay here in my Pride, Pridelander…” he had mocked her with the nickname because it was what she smelled like, a pridelander.

She watched from the corner of her eyes as the male corcled her. After a few minutes he had told her she could come. Then he enscribed her with the name Pridelander.. She smirked turning to him. "Thanks for the nickname." The smirk soon vanished but still had a hint of it on her maw. She hopped down from the dark grey stone onto the white parched bones. The femers and tibia's cracking with each step. She then looked back at the male.
"How did you stumble across this barren land if I may ask." She questioned calmly. Her eyes taking in a dark purple color. The changes were bright and dark at the same time, truly creepy if you watched her eyes all of the time. But then again, what kind of light would want to stare at a dark's eyes? None she knew, for if they tried, her eyes would have been the last thing they saw.

Lucifer had not been expecting such a question and resorted to the simplest reply, "I have little reason to explain myself to the likes of a lioness I have just met." He was intentionally showing his mean side, not allowing for any sign of weakness to show. His reasons for being here were his alone, and none should know. Lucifer jumped after Sunnix and was walking by her side with a few short leaps. His stomach was grumbling and he knew he would have to eat soon, which would be another reason lionesses are useful. They brought down prey while all he must do is keep other male lions away. Which would be an easy enough task.

Give me envy give me malice, give me your attention
She nodded slightly knowing why he didn't tell her. She then looked over the dark land in the silence before hearing the slight growl that could only be from a stomache and it wasn't hers. She looked up spotting a small gazelle. A small smirk growing. For she had not eaten in days, this gazelle would be the first thing in her stomache for a while. She shot a glance to Lucifer saying she'd be right back. She crouched into a stalking position and crawled near the gazelle.
The small deer like animal didn't even know what hit her. Sunnix hopped out from the long wilting grasses and with one powerful blow, killed the deer. It was a large buck. He should have had his guard up... Oh well. Is too late now. She lifted the biggest part of the male to ensure the good meat wouldn't get dragged as she brought it to a small clearing of grasses, where it looked like it had burned. It wasn't far from where Lucifer was. She set the killed gazelle in the center and sat before it waiting for her King to come and take the first bite.

Lucifer watched Sunnix killed a gazelle and drag it almost to him. He walked to the meal and ate quickly. He tore off large pieces of flesh and gulped it down quickly. If Sunnix wanted food she would have to eat quickly before he finished, there would be nothing left once he was finished. He bared his fangs in a fierce snarl each time she advanced. His ivory claws extended and flexed threateningly. He gobbled the gazelle's liver, heart and stomach before lifting his head from the carcass and walking away to allow the lioness to feast on what was left.

The King must have thought she was trying to sneak in a bite while he was eating, all she had been doing was shifting her weight, which when she did she heard growls coming from the male. She knew better than to eat with the King unless she was the alphess and from the looks of it, she was the only female here, which gave her double the duties. She was glancing around the territory when he left from being finished atleast.
She looked down noticing the only thing left on the carcass was the thick flesh on the bones that were stuck to it. She beant her head to it scraping the meat off the ribs. In the process the bone sharpening her canine teeth. Soon she finished. The only thing left on the ground were just more bones on the already bone covered ground. She sat up licking her maw. The blood coming off easily.

Lucifer leaped up to a higher seeing spot, atop a large ledge. Inhaling deeply he roared at the top of his lungs. He was sure any lion, female and male, within a few miles would hear him and know he was in charge. He looked at Sunnix and saw she had picked what was left of the carcass clean and his watched her woundering if she would be a good mate. She was wicked but she didn't seem completely evil.

well she didn't choose this role
Her changing eyes quickly took on a blood red coloring. Her mind taking on old hateful flashbacks. A small growl erupted as she remembered her mother's scent. But, this was real. She turned her eyes. Her powerful tail beating on the compacted ground.
Skyic looked like she was on her way to the Pride lands. Her dreaded sister. Her mind cleared but her eyes still carried the blood of hatred. She growled and then turned trotting up to the white vixen. "Skyic, what are you doing crossing my path again?" Sunnix snarled. "Simple, getting away from this horrid land." The vixen laid a smile on Sunnix.
Sunnix began to lunge but knew there was nothing she could do. When Sky turned Sunnix bit Sky's tail leaving a dark mark. Something for they would always be remembered by. Sunnix growled but didn't make any attempt to watch as Sunnix stepped onto the Pride Lands. The animals bowing on her sides. The rumors were true. Skyic was the queen. Sunnix growled deep in her throat. Deep into pure hatred but , there was something to do, kill the king, and her sister.
Sunnix turned and stepped over to her, her eyes blood red as she approached the male, her own King. She dipped her head in a sign that meant she had an idea. "My king we need more members, for we need to kill the king and my si..." She had almost said sister, but caught herself in time. "The queen."
but she'll play in it and make it sincere so

Lucifer had been watching her as she went into a vision. She had been speaking to the air, as it seemed through his eyes. When she snapped out of it she approuched him and bowed her head, showing respect. Lucifer smiled slightly when he saw this, already she was looking to be a fine pride member, maybe even Alphess. "You are right." Lucifer responded coldly, wiether she planned to be his mate or simply look for more members he was not sure yet. So he let her decide.
