Gazer counted the stars and sighed. An odd number again! She sighed and shook her head and watched a small mouse scurry over her paw. It was unafraid, as usual. She sighed once again. Gazer loved even numbers, especially how neat they came out. Odd numbers, yucky. She casted her eye skyward again, picked out her guide star, and got to her feet. She looked underweight and unhealthy, but in fact, Gazer had never been as healthy as now. She trotted at an easy gait, wondering where she could be and where she could go, especially for a home. Being a female, she was ready to be pushed around (although she didnt like that). She was eager to find a nice, safe house and settle down and have a family, maybe even share her knowledge with someone who cared. Gazer finally spotted the rock as the stars began to dim. Sadness filled her, like always.
Good night, little guys. Tomorrow come even. Gazer whispered, as she always did. Off in the distance, but not far away, she heard a soft crunch sound, like a branch snapping. Hello? Is someone there? Gazer asked, watching and waiting as the sun began it's claim over the day, once again. Gazer watched as someone began to approach her...

The king of the lands scrolled over to the lioness casually. Had she come for acceptance? He has been watching carefully as his land began to fill itself with lions once again. It made him proud, it made him happy. Now if only they would be good lions and not traitors. It is I, Simba, King of the Pridelands. Would she even know that she was trespassing on his territoiry? You have just trespassed onto the property of the Royal Pride. He was no right in front of her. His large body could hide hers if he would stand right next to her. His voice was deep yet kind. He cared about every living creature that stepped foot on his lands except for traitors and the hyenas. He stared intensly into her eyes awaiting an answer.

I am sorry for tresspassing. I have been wandering for days. Gazer said. I am Gazer, a star-reader. She bowed slightly and looked into Simba's eyes. I have been seeking for somewhere to call 'home'. Gazer chose her words carefully, waiting and watching to see what he would say. Would Simba let her stay, or send her away? Gazer wanted to know that.

Simba nodded, he understood what she meant about being a star reader. He loved to watch the stars, it comforted him. His father had told him that all the ancient kings of the land were up there. This inculded his father and he felt comforted by the thought of his father watching over him and helping him make the right decisions. Well look no further... welcome home. With that he turned and climbed up into the peak to watch over his land.
