OOC: Hoping to claim the land Whatever this place is, Otieno was falling in love with it. The natural beauty of the jungle was breathtaking, almost mesmerizing. The lands that he had previously seen consisted of lots of sand and brush. But here, he was able to sink his paws into the soft earth. There was much chatter in the jungle, so it kept him from being lonely. With each cool breath, with each step, with each new sight or sound, Otieno wanted to claim the land for himself. It had been a good long while since he's felt at home.
Otieno freely laid himself down against one of the many trees in of the jungle, staring up at the lush green canopy. The afternoon sunlight flickered through the gaps between the branches and vines. Closing his dark brown eyes, he let himself melt into the scenery.

Whirlwind ________________________________________________________________________ A twig snapped underneath the lionesses weight. Her honey coloured pelt clashed with the trees, making her highly visible. The female threaded through the thick bushes of the jungle happily. Ever since entering the jungle the fae had been in love with the shafted sunlight and mushy ground. She crushed the close-growing undergrowth with one pawstep. Hazel eyes stayed fixed on the space infront of her, never moving to look at the wonderful scenery. Keen eyes listened to the monkeys chatter above her. Compared to the quiet and vast savvanah the jungle was teaming with curious sounds and scents. Still, she'd grown up in a jungle and knew the scents well enough.
The charming lioness rounded a tree, stopping once to test the air, and quickened her pace to a trot. Two paws hit the ground each time, squashing small flowers in a second. She stopped suddenly and stared at the lion she saw before her. Just as she was about to run away a huge vine fell infront of her. Startled, she stepepd back and tripped over a rock. She lay winded for a moment before crouching down inthe undergrowth, looking at the male lion with a hint of fear.

His ears flickered at the sound of a fallen vine. Opening his eyes and rolling to his side, he raised his head to see if there was something amiss. Slowly, he rose to his feet as he spotted a lioness no more than a few feet away from him. Was there another pride already established here? Or was she looking for a place to stay, just as he had? Blinking curiously, he started to trot towards her, not fearing of any attack. She looked to be alone and a bit clumsy, but he felt no malice from her.
"Is everything alright?" he asked, keeping his distance. He wasn't sure of what to make with the lioness. He certainly didn't want to see like he was taking someone's mate away. Otieno just settled here and had no plans leaving.
