The lioness stretched out in the shade of the large tree. She yawned. It felt so good to be by herself. She has been a mother for a year and a half already and was always with cubs. Lencho was watching the youngest cubs at the moment so that she could have time to relax. The sun was high and bright and the wind breezed through the leaves on the tree. She remembered the crazy monkey would used to live in this tree. Ah when times were easy! The poor baboon got killed along with almost everyone in this land. She was so glad she only lost one cub... Poor Simba had lost his mate and daughter and part of his kingdom. The poor guy had a lot on his shoulders.
She lay there with her mind wandering through all the past events that had happened. She closed her eyes and listened to nature live around her.

Kimba A striped figure slowly walked through the savannah, His striped body confused most prey and his small mane would give him the advantage of getting something to eat in this harsh Kalahari. The male narrowed his amber eyes as he seen something off in the distance, it looked to be an antelope, it must of been lost from the rest of it's herd and this was a good chance to test his strength. The male lowered himself slightly close to the ground and narrowed his eyes, pinning his ears to the back of his massive head and flexing his shoulder blades he slowly yet carefully made his way closer to his prey. It was obvious that the antelope was aware of him, but it just couldn't find him. His mother had taught him how to hunt well. He was now in striking distance and as soon as the wind changed, he charged. With his muscles tensed; Kimba used his front legs to pull himself forward and his hind legs to push himself up, giving himself the advantage of speed. His timing was perfect, but he wasn't really hungry he just wanted to test out his speed, The male stopped running and panted heavily.
A scent came along with the changing of the wind. He sniffed with a hint of curiosity and scanned the area with ears perked forward he happened to see something resting under a tree. thingying his head slightly to the side as he slowly walked towards the source of the scent. He lowered his head to show his best of respect to this figure, If she was another dark then he would just leave but if she wasn't then he'd just have to think of something to do. Besides, it was better then doing nothing and just walking around chasing birds and animals that he won't even eat. "Hello there M'lady.." He said letting a slight smile slide up his maw. This lioness carried the scent of a Dominant and she didn't smell like she was dark so she couldn't be.
Kimba looked up towards the tree she stood at, His mother had told him many stories of a wise monkey who use to live here. He would have never thought it would be true but now that he knows he admires the tree so, he started to wonder if the monkey was still alive. But the aura here was very strange, he had a feeling that something bad had happened not only to the monkey but to everything that was dealing with this tree.

The lioness watched the male approach her in a respectful way. She was not used to other lions approaching her while she was resting. The land was sure getting more and more filled. She liked the thought of that. Sighing quietly to herself she closed her eyes and let the wind blow against her face and the blazing sun shine down on her light pelt.
He was speaking to her now. "Why, hello." She was given the opputunity to see him up close now. He was really, really large. He also had stripes on his body. She looked at him disapprovingly. Something strange was wrong with this lion. His paws were massive and looked very clumsy yet it didn't show that he was. She raised her brow slightly and waited for him to speak further.

Kimba His golden eyes trailed back to the tree as he glanced at how tall it was. His ears twitched as he heard her reply to him, He stood up slightly but let his tail slowly sway behind him. He had happened to see the look she gave him, she was probably confused by his strange stripes on his pelt. Kimba smiled lightly and laughed slightly. "The names Kimba..." He said looking towards the lioness. It was obvious that this lioness had a mate, He had encountered many lioness's in his travel and she seemed to be different from them all. "May I ask you name?" He said trying to show his best of respect, Kimba knew that first impression had to be the best and he wanted to at least be known for his loyalty. Besides, He was thinking of joining her pride, if the emperor of the pride would let another male join.

Sorry no muse ________________________
Maha sighed softly and flicked her tail. Maha, my name is Maha... She was named a long time ago and did not even know what her name meant. She hoped it had a good meaning to it. She yawned and lay her head between her large paws. She was so exhausted. Having to care for the cubs was hard enough and now the pride and now the fact that she lost her son and mate and doesn't even know what happened. She peered up at the large lion with one eye. She was curious why he started talking to her. Perhaps he will say more. She has never been the type to ask questions, just listen and give answers.
