The large albino male lion walked up next to the river. In the distance you could hear some lions wrestling but that didn't bother him. He liked his white coat, though when it came to fighting it was the first to become filthy and full of blood. His large muscles relaxed as he lowered his nose and muzzle to the water and drank some of the freshness of it. The sun beat down on him, but the taste of the cool liquid running down his throat made him forget everything. Once finished drinking he jumped up on one of the rocky surfaces beside and sat under one of the small tree's. His coat didn't provide the best of camouflage but he didn't want to hide. With a soft plunk his body slid to the floor and he sighed happily. His beautiful and rare blue eyes were open and he was much awake, but the heat was providing the best for a snooze and the atmosphere was so calm. He lifted his head to look at the sky looking for any signs of clouds but there were none. This was pretty much one of the hottest days this summer. He pictured large rain clouds as they started to empty themselves on the dry land with large splatters. Rain. That's one thing this savanna needed at the moment. He looked at the water, listening to it's calmness as it rushed through different obstacles and continued on it's journey probably to some lake or pond which would soon dry up.

Light pawsteps padded near the stream,a pretty young lioness moved with grace and precision as she wandered to get a drink. Her sister and her had decidedly split up for the week,to each try to find a mate, and promising to meet back in the same place. But that was a day ago,so she had plenty of time to herself.Gemma had killed a large gazelle earlier and placed in under a tree a few miles back to keep from spoiling in the sun,and had decided to get a sip of water before eating.
Raindrops began to patter her pelt, soothing the heat from it.Her green eyes, like the softest flower-petals scanned the area. She saw two males wrestling in the distance, but nothing of intrest to her.She was, indeed, ready to breed, but she was waiting on a special lion for that. She had taken great care to keep away from any male that might try to force-breed her.
She lapped a few sips of the cool, refreshing water, and gave a content sigh. She streached her lithe, feline frame, and lapped a few more sips, cooling her dusty throat. She shivered as the cool water slid down her throat and settled in her empty stomach.
She prepared to leave when something,no,someone under a tree. The unmistakable shape of a lion, and a large one at that.Curious.She had yet to see such a male, one with a pelt the colour of snow. She gave a shy smile, and padded towards him.She racked her mind for something to say,something..not stupid.
Her tail lashed softly as she padded ever closer, she sensed he wasn't a threatening male, and decided mabey it would be best to speak to him.She sat down, just under the shade of the large tree.A smile creeped across her face.
"Your pelt looks like snow."She said,a goofy grin on her face.
Balderdash!Gemma, you idiot!! She cleared her throat. "What I ment to say was, that Ive never seen a pelt that colour before."She said, feeling a heat rise to her face.

Blizzards ears pricked and he lifted his head up to sniff at the air smelling the scent of another lion, a female lion. Satisfied with the distinction of what animal it was and whether it was a male or a female he looked around and spot her. She was a pretty young lioness and she stepped lightly, gracefully and precisely as she went to get a drink.
As he watched slightly amused, and slightly interested he could tell that she was in heat and it surprised him that she hadn't yet been mounted or raped by some male. He grinned as he noticed how she seemed to relax after having drunk some of the fresh water and it had gone down her throat and made her shiver.
As she was about to leave he guessed that she had seen her and was heading towards him with a shy smile, her tail lashing out softly behind her. As she neared him he noticed her beautiful green eyes reminding him of the softest flower-petals. Amazing eyes. He thought as she sat down under the tree next to him.
"Your pelt looks like snow." Her voice was soft, but she had said it with such a goofy grin and it made him chuckle and she probably meant to say something else as she cleared her throat and spoke again. "What I meant to say was, that Ive never seen a pelt that color before." He grinned at her with his warm blue eyes and spoke with his deep rough voice, trying to sound as friendly as he could.
"Yes, not many are born like me with white fur. I am Blizzard, i take it you had a refreshing drink?" He tilted his head and relaxed his body. She was clearly not here to look for trouble, and if she had been she would have been pretty d**n foolish to pick a fight with a male.
